2 month check up

You are getting so big.. 12 lbs and over 24 inches tall. And you are getting quite strong, already trying to roll over, which is making diaper changes interesting. You've found your hand, but still only enjoy one type of binky. You are sleeping through the night from 9pm to 4:30ish. You went to your first theme park a few weekends ago and watched your sister go on a few rides and saw some animals (killer whale, dolphin, giraffe etc.)

Somebodies Birthday was today

Well we got to the hospital at around 12:30pm. Mommy had a english muffin for breakfast and we had ice cream the night before. We arrived in plenty of time and were escorted to a room, were the pre-op started, Mommy was prepped and then was wheeled away to the operating room at around 2:15. I then got my scrubs on and walked the halls for a little bit, waiting for them to let me into the operating room. When I walked in, they were busy at work getting you out of mommy's tummy. I sat there giving soft touch to mommys forehead and she was singing as Danielle calls it, "The pickle song", which is a song that she enjoys from veggietales. If it doesn't have a tall its not a monkey, its an ape. Then at 2:42 they got you out and said for me to come and cut the cord. I cut it and then they brought you over to the warming bed and cleaned you off. And then the fun started.. You pee'ed! :) and all the nurses laughed, and then you pee'ed again!!, and we laughed again. and they continued to clean you off. and then you pee'ed again, and at that point i ran over to mommy and told her one more time that you had pee'ed. you were also more vocal then your sister. You cried quite a bit, After getting cleaned off we showed you to mommy, and then took you to the nursery. were you were measured, and weighed, and bathed. We waited a bit more, and then we took you to see mommy in her room. Mommy fed you and then we just admired you. I then left to go get your sister, from day care, and came back to the hospital with her. We came back and visted for a bit before I left again to take Danielle to the neighbors, because she was going to spend the night there while I spent the night with you and mommy. I came back to the hospital and spent the night. You woke up a few times on the first night. The next morning, I woke up, and went and got your sister, and took her to Day care, and then came back to see you and Mommy. You and Mommy stayed in the hospital until Thursday when you came home. Since then you've been eating great and have gained all the weight back to your birth weight. Oh yeah you weighed 7lbs 15 oz and were 19 inches long. Oh and your full name is Eric Michael Carlson, we didn't finalize your name till the night before we were going to leave.

Sad Sad day..

Today, at aproximately 3:00 am. your grandmother passed away. She wanted so much to meet you and to hold you. She did get to see you in 4d, and was able to see your face, and know who you were. I promise to keep the memory of her alive with you and your sister so that you know who your grandparents were, and that they will always be with you, watching out for you, and looking after you.

Baby Boys birthday shower..

Today was the day of your Birthday shower. It was at the neighbors house, and was a lot of fun. It started at around 12 o'clock and guests were given a clip and were told that they couldnt say baby, and if they did then someone could take their clip away. We waited for about an hour before we all had food, and started the games. A lot of friends were there, and we played games like whats in the bag, how big is mommies tummy, finish the nursery rhyme, bottle drinking, drawing a picture of a baby on your head, and how many diapers were in the bin. And then we had cake which was made by the same person that made your sisters cake and mommy and daddies wedding cake. It was awesome, chocolate marble yummy!! :) The party ended a few hours later and we carted home all your presents. Your set for at least the first few months :).

Appologies etc..

I haven't taken near as much time as I should on your blog, and I apologize for this.. You are almost here and yet you have no history.. So let me go back in time....
You were conceived, we believe back in the late part of August, and your Due date was made for May 17th, 2008. Mommy has said that you have acted different than Danielle, no hiccups to date, but that you can push quite hard. You also seem to be alittle lazier than your sister, taking naps and just hanging out. Oh and by the way we found out that you were a Boy at the end of December right before Christmas. :)

I am still hoping that you come early so that you have a cool birthdate like 5/7/08 or 5/6/08 but if you want to come around the 17th thats ok too :). You will be delivered via C-section, just like your sister. Speaking of your sister, she is very excited to meet you, and has been giving you hugs and kisses almost on a daily basis. Let's see what else.
Yesterday we went and saw you!! We went to Walnut Creek and brought Grandma to see you in 4d. You were not cooperating at all and were as far away from the camera as possible, the Dr. made mommy move all around, but you were not being very photogenic. We did finally get to see your head/cheeks, and long legs. which were up by your head. It was great fun to see you, and very memorable as well.

On the 5th we will get to see you again, and most likely for the last time prior to you coming into the world. It's your last check out to make sure that everything is going well.
Mommy also has to go and take the 3 hr blood glucose test again as she did with Danielle

Your room is still in process, but we've decided on a theme, and am sure your going to enjoy seeing all the cute dinosaurs. Your room is right across from your sisters, but you won't be staying there for a few months, You will be in mommy and daddies room so we can feed you and look after you.

Again I appologize for not keeping this very current. There are things happening right now that I will tell you about later on, about why I didn't keep this as current as your sisters, but I promise to do a better job in the future.
